Hi Sharan,
It was nice meeting you. Indeed, FOSDEM is huge and we are only a part
of the community.
You are right, the broad spectrum of the Apache projects makes them
suitable for all kinds of devrooms, which makes having a dedicated
devroom hard. Perhaps something like a workshop on "The A
Thanks Bertrand, I should have used my favorite search engine to look

donations it receives?
The page looks great. I think what would increase the likelihood of
donations is to have fund raising goals. Wikipedia does that really
Hi Max
It was good to meet you and I'm glad that you enjoyed being there and all that
booth activity!
FOSDEM is a major event and getting a devroom there can be difficult. I think
we did an application for one last year and were turned down so we are not
guaranteed to get room or even a booth

stand. It was nice to talk to so many users and also interesting to see
how many people do not know what the ASF is.
I'm unsure whether asking for donations directly at the stand is an
effective way to get donations. I think
Also: 3 different people talked to me about bringing their projects to the
incubator!

Thank you so much for the update Sharan, and to everyone who made this
possible.
It was a pleasure to meet in person so many of the names I see in the

Thank you Sharan for the report, and all who helped to make this possible

Hi Everyone
Last weekend FOSDEM was held in Brussels so wanted to post a quick update.
FOSDEM weather is generally quite predictable (read that as bad!) and this time
as well as rain, it snowed! Yet even with the bad weather, thousands of people
made the effort to attend.
