+1I think this would be good to help newbies to get started on contributing.It
is difficult to figure out whom to contact with respect to a Jira issue to work
on, having skillset to do so.
This can help double booking on same task too. There have been times when I
signed up for an open task and
totally agree sorry I know I'm new but this would help a lot of newbies to the
mailing list because with this portal we can know all the projects available so
we can join up, excellent idea!

I think it could be a nice way to engage the committer / contributor
base and also help bring in more companies to Apache. I know of one
company that couldn't find enough people with experience of an ASF
project locally so decided to take students on work ex

although I am lucky to mostly work with Apache Software and the
framework I spend most of my time contributing for (Apache OFBiz), I
think this is a great idea!
