The Commons Codec team is pleased to announce the commons-codec-1.5 release!
The codec package contains simple encoder and decoders for various formats

Hi All,
Now that codec 1.5 is out, I would like thoughts on this plan for codec 2.0:
- Create a SVN branch for 1.x
Then in trunk:
- Correct Maven group id, which implies:
- Repackage to o.a.c.codec2
- Use Java 5
- Use JUnit 4
What else? Thoughts?
Thank you,
Gary

I assume this is derived from the SVN tag:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/commons/proper/pool/tags/POOL_1_5_6_RC1
The NOTICE files still show 2010.
Otherwise the code seems OK, builds and tests OK on 1.3 and 1.6.
The site does not have the Branding updates, but that is not a blocker

BTW, just noticed that Pool seems to be using a non-standard directory
layout - src/java rather than src/main/java.
But of course this is not a release blocker.

The files in the staging repo are dated Fri Mar 25 01:34:08, which is
what made me think it was taking too long.
