Having something/s analogous to the current VR in terms of features is a

Hi Matthew,
I don't know how others feel about t
you view the VRouter's console while it
is booting it prints out the vpn usernames and passwords in plaintext.
I am sure some debug statements just got left in by accident.
I am running Cloudstack 4.8.0 and using SystemVM Template version 4.6
for KVM.

Thanks. I figured I was looking in the wrong place. For my future
reference did you just find this by searching strongswan in the git
repo? Is there any direct link between a Jira ticket and a git PR?

Matthew,
If the PR has the jira
follow the advice in the thread by
moving to strongswan 5.x and altering the configs necessary to make that
switch. Once there, we see how NAT behaves and deal with the issues that
arise. Thoughts?

e hardened and proven technology. Given the option, I always
go with the known good solution over the shiny one.
I have also used PFsense. Really great project but I have not found it
to be as stable for me as Vyos, though that might be my lack of BSD
experience.

Caveat: I am clueless about how VR configuration happens under the hood
currently or if abstracting it is a monumental task.

Sounds like a plan. It fits pretty well with my current priority items.
I am helping Vyos beta test their Debian 8 version. I am sure you will

Scientific Linux for pretty much the whole RHEL 6 cycle. Having a
distro shepherded by Fermilab with contributions from other major labs
would ensure stability and operational decisions that are not profit
motivated. Their board plans to issue a statement on the Centos issue
next month.
