Hi Raja,
Ian ran into this a few days ago. Great to see you reproduce it :). I don’t
remember the exact details, but there’s something about openswan that is broken
for some kernels on some platforms in debian 7.6.
Upgrading to debian 7.7 fixes it:

Hey ahbi,
Why is jre7 a requirement for the VmWare template? I'm running 4.3 with VMware
now with the current template without any trouble. All software on the storage
vm and console proxy is based on our code, which is all Jdk 6?

Hi Abhi,
If someone has the isos downloaded locally the build won't fail as
vagrant uses the (previously downloaded) iso with valid md5checksum
instead of downloading from the url, so probably the build on jenkins
must not be failing and should be fine. For someone who's doing a

Hugo,
First of all my bad that I jumped the gun on jre7 change. I will be
testing the full build on master and then update the urls and other
changes.
In the current template jre7 package is not available by default, needs
apt-get update. jre7 is a absolute necessity for VMWare template.

I have the debian 7.0.0 isis local on the jenkins server, so we don’t depend on
the external URLs.
Do you want to switch master to the new image? No trouble for me to make it
happen.

I think Abhi is coming from the context of the bug CLOUDSTACK-3480
(Abhi correct me if I am wrong). There are parts of the object store
work that depend on the hardlink to the template url. Right now that
url points to the cloud.com resource which is in the vm_template
table.
May be we can fix obj
