Considering the project currently follows the trunk-based development
workflow, I am +1 for trunk
In general I am fine also with main, but trunk sounds more accurate to me
personally.

Several open source projects conduct regular user surveys to understand
current usage and adoption trends, e.g. OpenStack, Kubernetes, Cloud
Foundry, etc. They can be informative to the community and other end users.
