Deeper inside there is a diagram: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cockroachdb/cockroach/master/docs/media/sql-nosql-newsql.png They compare to NoSQL along with Riak, HBase and Cassandra. Of course you CAN have a Cassandra cluster which is not fully available with loss of a dc nor consistent.

Hello, I have been checking out recently some of the dtest-related issues and wanted to share an idea. It might be useful to see dtest’s commit id in the Jenkins logs. AFAIK Jenkins clones dtest master right now. For example, it would be a bit easier to tackle some issues like CASSANDRA-13140 b
