I will take a detailed look at the AIP update to try to figure out the
changes in the proposal.

A little stronger than Jed actually and for very similar reasons.
My view is that Airflow 3 is a new foundation and I very much believe that
there will be multiple, different bundling mechanisms.
I don't think we should include the "git-provider" as a required
dependency.

I agree this makes sense.
I was originally concerned that this would make it more difficult to ensure
compatibility across providers for capabilities such as common.sql,
objectstore, and so on.
However, seeing that the "common" pattern would remain the same and it's
