I have had recurring screen freezes ever since upgrading to 12.10, on
the order of days or weeks apart. It happened two or three times,
several weeks apart, while running 3.5 kernels; then 4 times in 10 days
running 3.2 (to test a filesystem problem); then today (6 days later)

I was missing a mic jack and instructions from the comment #32 helped me
fix it. My audio card is built-in the Intel HDA motherboard; my sincere
thanks for that.

Irving - I tried the "try" build. After thunderbird started it began
indexing 11000+ emails and started downloading from different folders.
I had to exit it before it stabilized because it consumed an extremely
large amount of memory and my system became extremely unresponsive.
IO wait was around

I ran into a PPD problem after an update of Kubuntu 12.04. Before the
update, my LaserJet 5 normally printed in single-page mode. After the
update it printed in duplex mode and I couldn't get it to print in
single-page mode. The problem was an incorrect version of the PPD,
which I verified by rei
After upgrading to 12.10 there is no indicator keyboard layout! In
Lightdm two indicators en and en+ru+ua! In unity nothing! Need use:
setxkbmap "us,ru,ua" ",winkeys,winkeys" "grp:menu_toggle,grp_led:scroll"

The PPD that I get for the HP LaserJet 5 with a fully updated Kubuntu
12.04 is the wrong one. Twice before I've had the correct one, only to
have an update bring back the wrong one. The correct one is what I get
when I select the "old" PPD while installing the printer using
801 - 900 of 9207 matches
