Does this fix affect Japanese fonts?
I installed Ubuntu 23.04 today and encountered a problem where the
Japanese in the snap package is incorrectly displayed with Chinese font
glyphs.
Specifically, the problem occurs in Firefox and Snap Store, but not in
gnome-terminal or Text Editor.

Thanks for the advice. I removed fonts-droid-fallback and tried it, and
now Japanese glyphs are displayed.
However, I am concerned that it only affects the snap package, while the
non-snap package seems to select the correct glyphs.

Reproduced it.
Reason:
If current-folder is ''(emty string, not NULL), will call
g_file_new_for_uri('') in src/dlg-add.c
and its return vallue(GFile object) is passed to first argument of
g_directory_foreach_child(directory, ...).
In the result, will occure "Could not load the location" error.
Fixed "could not load dialog" problem at master of upstream.
But "crash" is occured by other reason.
This crash always occure on i386 system. There is no workaround.

After a long time, finally, I made new patch and sent merge request.
Based on the advice pointed out by Sebastien, all locale except "ja_JP",
add "us" layout as default keyboard layout. "ja_JP" locale (and added

The Chinese input method cannot be enable
It seems that unity-settings-daemon does initialize sources property
of org.gnome.desktop.input-sources for ibus only, doesn't for fcitx.
I sent MP to upstream. please review it.

When input-sources is empty, unity-settings-daemon try to fill
input-sources/sources by DEFAULT_LAYOUT at get_sources_from_xkb_config().
Please use DEFAULT_LAYOUT only when doesn't other keyboard layout.
How to reproduce:
1. set xkb layout other than us layout
$ setxkbmap -

Anyway, do I have a chance to drop "(xkb,us)" when layouts has specific
layout like "ja"?
For example, japanese layout has completely alphabet keys as same as "us"
layout.
Therefore japanese layout user doesn't need "us"

I think so too. Unfortunately the Qt renderer and Gtk renderer seem to
be exclusive at the moment. We still need Gtk renderer.

Indeed, Xwayland is living on Debian/testing and ibus-daemon is
restarted with --xim by gnome-shell. However xlsclients show only
ibus-x11/gsd-xsettings/gnome-shell only.
Is any X11 related process started and then closed?
