I think these are actually two bugs, however they both affect me as
well.
- when I open an existing document, no menu bar appears on top. If I
select another window (e.g. Chromium) and then return to Libreoffice,

I'm on Manjaro, Huawei Matebook D (Ryzen version), but I had the same
problem and I solved it by changing my /etc/default/grub file in the
following way:
I changed this line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
to this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="amd_iommu=on iommu=pt"
then I did:
sudo update-grub && sudo reboot

Hello,
I'm here to report that this bug still appears for me on a recent clean install
of Ubuntu 16.10. It was also present, for me, in a previous installation of
Ubuntu 16.04. Whenever I open the dropbox folder from the dropbox indicator,
all the icons on the desktop disappear.
