Go to System Settings -> Displays -> Sticky edges
Here I saw that sticky edges was turned "On". Once I turned it "Off" and
clicked "Apply", the issue disappeared. Again, this is not an Nvidia
issue, as I have the issue with no discrete graphics card at all.

work around by choosing the file type during export and instead of using

Been having that issue for a long time. Stops all my internet
connections and yet when I check the status bar sometimes it only reads

Turned out that chat support was pretty straightforward to add, so I
went ahead and finished the patch. Should have pretty much everything
now, besides buddy icons, but note that the chat support is not
extensively tested yet since I don't use that feature. I noticed that

Confirming on 12.10. External keyboard is not detected at all on boot if
it is plugged in and switched on. Most of the times it is detected if it
is plugged in and switched on only when login prompt is visible.

Same here, noticed a few times that fan is very loud and happened to
notice lightdm owned process evolution-calendar-factory was causing it.
Killing it brings cpu usage down.

Indeed. I kill empathy and the issue goes away here too. It's been
happening since upgrading to 12.10.
empathy seems to be a resource hog period. It's regurally using WAY
more memory than I would expect an IM client to use.

This appears to be a duplicate of Bug #878986 and a problem with pulse audio.
using pactl instead is a solution that worked for me.

This bug also affects my laptop. HP Pavillion DV2910 US. I also have a
fast SSD installed. This bug also affects Kubuntu 12.04 as well as Linux
Mint which is based on Ubuntu so it must be a common component between
the distros. It also happens with the new 13.04 beta 2 so it is still
not fixed.
