Without a working font indicator it is impossible to tell what's going
on. So fixing bug 1139524 first.
Further testing over in the other bug showed that by clicking at the end

Hi Christopher,
I'm afraid not. This desktop is my main workstation with loads of SDKs
and tools installed. It is a work PC so I cannot switch to a live image
for more than few minutes. The problem is that this takes like 1 or 2

I'm a very newbie Linux guy, but have been using Ubuntu through XRDP for
a year or so now (accessed via windows remote desktop from a PC).

That issue was disturbing some now outdated distro (by the way no real trouble
met, quite harmless).
No more recent duplicate reported.
I suppose that some libx11 SRUs have been made since that problem appeared
(2013 latest security updates)
So i propose to close that report as it have no real i
empathy in 14.04LTS and 14.10 no longer suffer this issue.
