1. They are shown twice (in English and the local language);

This "bug" was introduced in Unity 7 on Trusty Thar and still exists in
Utopic Unicorn (Development Branch)
On a closer look, pressing the brightness up or down key makes a
difference: With the up key brightness is set to its highest level, with
