I have a same problem.
Does anyone managed to find a solution?
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit)
I cannot install freeglut3-dev
the log is:

In the last revision of Ubuntu 6.10, I can't install freeglut3-dev due
to dependency problems:

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
