Adding this line to kernel command line disables the hardware
acceleration which badly affects the performance of the system. In my
humble opinion,this might not be an acceptable workaround.

Public bug reported:
System was freezing after the following errors in the syslog. Only mouse
cursor moves. Server was not responding to Ctrl+Alt+Function keys to
open sessions.
Had to reset to reboot the host.

This still remains as issue on thunderbird and pidgin notifications even in
Ubuntu 15.10 too.
This is still unassigned. Any hope about this getting fixed in the new version
16.04 ?
