launched it on the cli, it gave me a window saying my profile was no
longer compatible with this older 102 version of thunderbird. Still

I've got this setup between two vms, where the server vm is hosting
dnsmasq with ntp and the client synchronizes from the server (on a
private network). This issue of the timesync conf needing to be updated
exists in systemd-timesyncd too. But tackling the NetworkManager case as

Just a few questions to help identify the environment where the issue
occurs:
1. Are you testing this on phyical hardware or in a VM? I ask because I have
x11 on my 21.04 host and testing in a 21.04 vm with wayla
I'm so glad you found the solution to your problem! I often remove packages
with:
sudo apt purge libreoffice*
Since apt succeeded apt-get. Also "remove" will uninstall a package but
not remove it's config files. "purge" will do both uninstall and removal
of config files, so there was some config

My last comment needs to be amended to say that if you install the
"libreoffice" meta package (that is not seeded on the ISO), *then* it
pulls in jre.
If you only apt-update on a live disk, then jre is not pulled in.
