I tried updating the amdgpu firmwares from the linux-firmware package
from git.kernel.org. This didn't help. The display is still garbled
after it returns from power-save of the display (not the computer

I installed nslcd, libnss-ldapd, migration-tools, slapd, ldapscripts.
Using the migration-scripts I copied the users to LDAP. getent shadow
(as root) shows encrypted passwords and everything works as it should.
Lightdm however, doesn't. I'm unable to logon using Xephyr (XDMCP)

With bug 1301192 out of the way this most likely is an issue with
missing codec plugins. As gstreamer0.10-qapt was not ported to gst1.0
yet, there is no on-demand plugin installation provided at this point.
Someone please try whether installation the following packages improves the
situation:
