I have run the command and deleted the PPA.But oibaf wasn't completely
removed.Here is output of the command *dpkg -l | grep oibaf*

I can't completely remove oibaf . please teach me if there is any way.

The problem is not fixed.Can Ubuntu developers use amd gpu pro as a model
and provide an update . AMD gpu pro drivers are awesome and does not have
this worst issue.

I noticed something new today. Got a call on 2016-12-09 at around 15:11 UTC,
there was not ringtone (but I answered the call). After ~2 minutes (at around
15:13 UTC), I got a text message but I didn't hear any sound alert. It is not
like bug #1544477, where *all* SMS
Still it is affecting pidgin. I tried again and I was unable to login.

I experienced once again on September 29, at around 15:00 hrs, but
unfortunately forgot to save a copy of the log before a reboot.
P.S. Worse part is when I tried to activate vibration on incoming calls
so that I don't miss any of those, I hit an issue: bug #1628042.

my phone untouched except a few calls, Telegram messages, and casual

I'm having this issue as frequently as before even after OTA-12, but I
couldn't find steps to reproduce the issue reliably. What happens is
usually after 1-2 days after a reboot, this issue appears out of
nowhere. Also deleting ubuntu-phablet-stream-volumes.tdb file is

observations/outputs:
- Sound icon doesn't change while receiving an SMS
- I tried step 4 of your original suggestion (adjust volume after typing a

My laptop touchscreen is not working in 16.04 In Windows 10, it works. Even in

Here's the media-hub.log file when there's no sound alert for new SMS.
Sound alert for new Telegram message is working fine. Also I wanted to
mention another fact in case it turns out helpful. Even when the sound
alert is working for SMSs, new Telegram message alert is significantly
louder than new
also the aforementioned tdb file when there's no sound alert

Hello Jim. the log file I attached before was from the time when every
sound notification was working fine right after a reboot. But I'm seeing
this issue every now and then. Usually deleting ubuntu-phablet-stream-
volumes.tdb file, rebooting device for once (sometimes twice) etc. make
things norma
I'm still not sure whether it is a consistent way to reproduce or not,
but I believe this issue comes back every time after switching back to
normal mode from "Silent Mode".

I can try with live USB. But will this sufficient enough to reproduce
bug due to nvidia driver ? Actual install is not possible since I need
to take many backup which is painful. and this build is daily build and
not official stable release.
