It looks like this is probably a bug in the nouveau graphics driver, and
most likely the HDMI port is connected to your Nvidia GPU. The nouveau
driver is also logging errors which may or may not be related to this
bug.
Please open the 'Additional Drivers' app and use it
Please also only test the "apt" version of gnome-software for now
because bugs from flatpaks can't be tracked here. The "ubuntu/+source"
part of the URL means we're only talking about debs installed via apt.

DRI_DRIVER_DIR is supposed to be defined in build/config/linux/BUILD.gn,
which relies on pkg-config.py output.
The commits 5e90d57 and ac530f7 in amdgpu branch[1] were meant to
inspect this more closely by turning debugging statements on. The log[2]

To clarify the gstreamer fix should be sufficient. The pipewire always-

I use a thinkpad keyboard that has the little red pointer stick in the
middle. It is USB and shows the same issue.
When the mouse gets laggy the Alt-Tab switcher also will not come up or
takes a while, depending on the circumstances.
