Not only Firefox, also Chrome and Opera are x-scheme-handler/ftp
handlers.
IMHO this is a Nautilus bug, because it DOES SHOW *open with Text
Editor* on a txt file, and it DOES NOT do that.
But it DOES work when you select *Open with other application* and then
select *Text Editor*.

Syntax error in /usr/bin/chromium-browser when xdg-settings get
default-web-brows
Occurs after a few seconds with this setting:
- Kernel 5.3.10-050310-generic
- swap available
- moving a 10 GB partition with gparted (high disk load on a USB attached SSD)
- xserver-xorg-video-intel installed
disabling swap solved the problem.
also the mouse hangs when window animations are act
I have now done further testing and can confirm that this is more than
just upgrade issue.
I have done the following tests:
A) Fresh 19.04 Desktop Install
A.1) Boot - Ubuntu 19.04 Desktop CD-ROM image via USB - Mouse / Cursor ok
A.2) Do clean disk install of 19.04 Desktop (Minimal Install Option
The cpu/gpu is Ice lake, you need at least kernel 5.3 and updates from
bionic-proposed to libdrm, mesa and xserver, or use Ubuntu 19.10.
18.04.4 image will be released early next year and that will support Ice
Lake.
