I'm unable to reproduce this issue at home. It could be that it has to
do with the sheer number of access-points in your location, which
obviously would cause more updates to LastSeen timestamp for each
accesspoint, and more AP changes signals.

Guvcview debian mantainer choosed a diferent packaging approach. In order
to keep some sanity I've changed my ppa to make it compatible.
This means you will need to uninstall any previous guvcview packages and
associated libraries before installing the new ones.

I had the same problem (gedit hangs and mouse disappears) on a freshly
installed Ubuntu 14.10, but without reaching 100% cpu utilization.
Disabling ibus as you suggested solved the problem; not only in gedit,
but also in a few other applications as well.

Triaged/Wishlist: I'm not sure why it wasn't done that way from the
beginning, but it sounds like an omission.

ofono (from unity8 session stuff) and modemmanager is causing an issue.

Indeed, the export only exports in the actual VPN format, which does not
necessarily contain a way to describe IPv4 or IPv6 settings. This is
also so that it can work on any machine, including systems which aren't
using NetworkManager, but rather the VPN program directly.

Please use 'apport-collect 1393662' in a terminal, after reproducing the
issue so that additional data can be added to this bug report.
Specifically, it would be useful to have a full excerpt of
/var/log/syslog showing all the messages relevant to the issue as it is
happening.

lightdm fails to start with 3 connected displays but works 2 displays.
Once lightdm has started and displays the Greeter I can connect the third
display without a hitch.
After logging in I can enable the third display

I removed this line but it gets rewritten again after my next login.
I also have to log in twice each time and locking the screen via super-l
leaves me with a locked and black (my background color) screen without a
password prompt..
