After update to Beta 1 14.10 laptop loses GPU rendering in Chrome (tested

Xorg hangs when the external thunderbolt display is being unplugged. I'm
gettin this problem with an Apple 25'' Thunderbolt display and a
MacBookPro9,2 running ubuntu 14.04.
Also:
The display can only be detected during boot.
If I unplug the monitor while it's working ubuntu

Maybe you should wait and see what Iain comes up with, i.e. if he is
able to fix 14.04 without the regression.

forced to reboot due to screen corruption which may be due to flaky 3D
or acceleration support. When doing video-intensive things like

ubiquity bug.

Ubuntu 14.04 "Trusty Tahr" is based on the 3.13 kernel. The
radeon.audio=1 kernel boot option is no longer necessary with this
kernel. Instead, HDMI audio on ATI/AMD Radeon cards can be enabled and
disabled on the fly by typing the following in a terminal window:
xrandr --output HDMI-0 --set audi
I confirm the path to reproduce.
I found another, easier one.
1. Focus on gedit window
2. Press CTRL/R-ALT/SHIFT
Result:
Cursos becomes invisible when it's not moved. When it's moved it blinking.
