I am seeing same symptoms in Ubuntu Studio 13.10 Final Beta 2. This uses
xfce4 so this issue may not be gnome-screensaver specific. I believe
this could be classed as a security issue because it occurs after sleep,
before screen lock kicks in, so a user may have put the machine to sleep
expecting i
1. Given what both Raymond and I see in hda-emu, I believe 7.1 (through
four external jacks) does not work. Any vu-meter would probably skip
enough layers to make the test not reliable.
3. I believe the speaker test in "Sound Settings" outputs a rumble
rather than "Rear Center", if that helps.
