Yes, none of them can be previewed. That said, all my OGG files are identical
technically: they are all my audio CD's that I ripped using
Rhythmbox/sound-juicer (using the default settings for encoding, as far as I

In this case, sda2 is not mounted because I don't want to see it listed
since I don't use it, but Nautilus shows it to me anyway, which clutt

However, despite I installed the debug symbols/packages for epipnany-
gecko as well as epiphany -gecko-extensions, well despite that, when I
asked gdb for the backtrace, as you can see from the log, it complained
that there was NO degug symbols ?! How comes ? :-/

When I convert from HEX to BIN it tends to drop the trailing zeros. For
exampel D4 should be something like 11010100 but it returns 110101. The
fun part is that converting it back* it returns D4 again. So internally
the result is stored correctly i guess.

It seems like this may be a few different bugs that all have the same
result, since it seems to manifest differently on different systems. My
system is a freshly installed Gutsy, and gnome-screensaver worked just
fine yesterday, but today it just blanks the screen. Previews work.

So I installed Totem-xine (including the "w32codecs" package), but it still
fails to play DVD ISO images from the hard disk. It complains that there is "no

Ahhh, indeed I had 3 desktop entries in my home directory, for some reason.
I deleted them and restarted Gnome, now I do get the Python warning for the

Hmm, I fear it would just add cluter to the GUI for no real reason. Much
better to hack the auto-completetion mechanism to special case gksu[do]
IMHO, or, better improve it so that auto-completion works on all
words/strings, not just the first one. That would fix the problem

I didn't know about this "caret" mode, however I use the F7 key ALL THE TIME,
because I use it as a keyboard shortcut to control Rhythmbox's "NEXT" button.
So I guess this interferes with Evolution !

I just wanted to post how I managed to set the mount points of my
partitions, because it took me a while (and a few installs) to find it
out. I hope it helps someone.
First I partitioned my hard disk in a terminal window with "sudo gparted
/dev/hdb". Then I started the installer, and selected "Man

Just installer Edgy RC, and I found that the situation has improved, a
bit, but there are still some incorrect labels.
The mount points are:
/media/Dapper_System
/media/Backup
/media/Windows
/media/Dapper_Home
The first 3 partitions show up properly in the side pane ("Places"
view), but in the "

my parport HP Laserjet 6P just fine (based on messages I can see in
/var/log/messages), but gnome-cups-manager doesn't, unless I manually
load the ppdev module.

Hi, I set the status to "confirmed". I have the same problem in Feisty,
and notice that it now ALSO shows in Edgy !! It must have been some
update causing this, because it sure used to work fine when edgy was
released !
