I'm using Jaunty, 9.04, and I have this problem as well. For me, it's
not connected to "always on top". Workaround from the first comment
worked for me. Thanks a bunch, this was a really annoying problem.

Spoke too soon - back to the inhibiting logout message on this shutdown.
The hang usually shows something about sending programs terminate
signals, then just hangs, but will echo keyboard input. Don't think
it's related to the nautilus shutdown/logout issue.

There is no natural scrolling option for mouse wheel in settings. Went

Had booted and was trying to open the menu. - but the apport crash

I just installed ubuntu today and when i go to configure the screen
saver it seems like it is crashing my screen goes black then it goes
right to the login screen. When i go to system - preferences - screen
saver it will do this like 5 seconds after i open
It is Ubuntu. And it's not a screensaver that I made. Maybe I wasn't clear I
apologize for that but it is when I go to screensaver under preferences and
as soon as that window opens the system goes to a black screen then takes me
to the login screen.
