I have tried your workaround with no luck. Currently using Evolution
2.24.0 Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 beta using a google POP account. Receive
remembers password but sending never does.

Fresh install of system in VirtualBox 4.04 r70112, was updating with
"mark all changes" in Synaptic, had this failure. System has not been
used for anything since the installation.

According to the error message in troubleshoot.txt, it seems related to
cups. There is oen error message -

It's an known issue of OSX clipboard sharing. VNC session will be
frozen once you copy some text in your X.
Temporarily workaround is to disable clipboard, but there is no options
in vinagre.

One comment though: this time (and this is a first) the topbar of the
windows are still there.

The problem is not that it's impossible to work around the incorrect
