We fix it using Free certificates from https://www.startssl.com/ :
drawback , it works almost only in firefox as it's the only browser that trust
the root CA.
Anyway it closes the bug for ubuntu as firefox is the default browser.

We could have said the same thing 3 years ago when gnome-code-install (

I second this . trying to open an flv file as a http stream with all
gstreamer plugins installed including FFMPEG in Gutsy ( 0.10.2-2.ubuntu1
) .
When gstreamer- ffmpeg is removed, Codeine looks for the ffmpeg plugin
so the mimetype seems correct.

Marcelo , you are completely Offtopic : your screenshot and URL show a page
that requires a plugin for application/x-vlc-plugin. obviously only VLC can
load it.
My Bug report is about a seeking problem; I don't have any problems about
playing Ogg/theora in Firefox.
