to me it disapeared with the gnome 2.14.3 update (during summer), but my
computer was not on holydays with me ;-)

gnome-panel uses 80% cpu
I don't know if it happens with other notifications (I only use this
one). The version of notification-daemon is the 0.3.4-0ubuntu5 (with
libnotify1 version 0.3.2-0ubuntu4).
I'll try to reproduce it with another notification.

Nobody seems to care but as I stated several times in this thread, for
some people (including me) upgrading these packages will remove some
other packages that apparently need the former ones. This is not an
option.

I guess the right upgrade path would be to upgrade to 23.10 first and then to

Finally this is fixed on my machine, thanks, A LOT.
Apparently it was upgrading mutter to the jammy-proposed version explicitly
that caused the dependency removing mess, so your command works fine and only
upgrade the necessary packages.

The 'oibaf' ppa was disabled when I updated to Ubuntu 20.04, but I
removed it to make sure that it is not the cause of the problem. I

In precise beta 2 with all updates as of today, totem fails to read some mp4
videos (although not all). It does not crash but shows a black screen.
totem-video-thumbnailer launched on those files aborts with
totem-video-thumbnailer couldn't process file: 'Trotro et le potager.mp4'

I'll add that the mp4 files that totem seems unable to read are files
downloaded from youtube using Minitube.
Steps to reproduce:
- open minitube
- search for a video
- download it
- open the downloaded file with totem / run totem-video-thumbnailer on the file

Snippets written in python do not work. The following steps provide an
example with a snippet shipped with the Snippets plugin.
1. In Gedit 3.2.0, enable the Snippets plugin
2. Create a .C file
3. type "ginterface" and hit Tab
This should trigger the "GObject interface" snip

Since Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric, I can't open xpi files with file-roller.
I have an error that the file is not recognized. One way around is to
rename the filename and change .xpi by .zip
I think this could be a mimetype issue, since it could be resolved
adding .xpi extension to
