Hi, Ubuntu update solved the problem for me.
Today runs my weekly Ubuntu update. After the update I recognized that the
problem was gone. To verify it, I reboot (was not required by the todays
update) and tried to recreate the problem.
No chance after one hour of mouse and keyboard inactivity.

Nautilus works and ist not the problem repoerted with this bug. The

In my case, the bug was not in f-spot - it was related to glx and the
PROPRIETARY graphic card driver. When I connected a second monitor to the
notebook with an ati graphic card, glx did not start - even the fgl_glxgears
did not work. When I disconnected the second monitor, glx was working and
I totally agree! I would love to have the "single click to rename"
option in nautilus. I am on a laptop, and in order to rename using the
F2 key I have to press Fn+F2, which is more finger acrobatic than I want
it to be.

and I support your opinion wholeheartedly. I wonder what we, the end-
users, could do to get this issue noted.
I believe Google+ is a good starting point, as Ubuntu is well

freezes as soon as I start to enter parts of the recipient's email
address. It seems to happen as soon as the sendto dialog is trying to
lookup the recipients email address from the backend (here,
Thunderbird)

This is a regression.
Pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL no longer brings up "Logout Dialog", but launches
the "Shutdown Dialog" instead. This stated to happen a few days ago.

I see. I'd rather have the logout option when pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL,
because when pushing the power button on my laptop, the shutdown dialog
appears. Historically, CTRL+ALT+DEL "killed" the X-window session,
effectively logging you out. That concept should be kept.

... and yes, I agree with the sentiments in bug #890747 - there should
be more options available when pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL.
