Hi, Ubuntu update solved the problem for me. Today runs my weekly Ubuntu update. After the update I recognized that the problem was gone. To verify it, I reboot (was not required by the todays update) and tried to recreate the problem.
No chance after one hour of mouse and keyboard inactivity. Still no mouse and keyboard freeze!!! To show what changed I do cat /var/log/dpkg.log > aadpkglog.txt and attach it. Interpreting the error message I think this bug is still in Gnome-shell. The signal value was changed by the ubuntu update and not in the gnome-shell code. Gnome-shell can document an invalid value, but never should freeze mouse and keyboard in those case!!!! That means the error can occur in future again if, who are ever, deliver an unexpected value to gnome-shell. ** Attachment added: "dpkg log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1868480/+attachment/5341465/+files/aadkpglog.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868480 Title: gnome mouse (trackpad &trackpoint) and keyboard freezes [JS ERROR: Exception in callback for signal: StatusChanged: Error: value is out of range for Argument 'interval' (type guint32)] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1868480/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
