system installed with 22.04, upgraded to 23.04 and then to 23.10 today;
whenever I lock the screen or the laptop suspends, I'm presented with
the login screen to re-authenticate but my session is not maintained and
all apps have been killed.
Issue was not present on Lunar.

Same issue, I've noticed something very strange. If the below lines are
commented out, the lag takes a few minutes to kick in (vs immediately when not
commented out).
edit /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules
comment out the 2 lines:
RUN+="/usr/libexec/gdm-runtime-config set daemon PreferredDispla

of hugepage FS for different pagesize options - so for example:

/def/hugepages
with appropriate apparmor changes as well for libvirt to allow access to
common paths on Ubuntu systems.

I started getting this problem shortly after upgrading to 9.10 from
9.04.
At first, logging off and then back on seemed to do the trick.
now, a killall gnome-panel is required to get it to work and, as
mentioned above, there seems to be some issue with the weather applet.
