Adjusting the minutes field (which is what I've been primarily testing) with
the up or down arrow controls seems effective: just not typing it in.
Some combinations of activating the arrow controls and then adjusting via
typing seem to be effective.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a fresh gnome-terminal. There must be lines below the prompt to which
text has never yet been written.
2. Enter the command: $ printf '\033[L'
(the "INSERT LINE" sequence will be sent to gnome-terminal)
3. gnome-terminal crashes.

Are you getting flooded with the messages, or is it occasional? If it's
occasional, then there are already upstream bugs for the issue and it's only a
warning, so nothing bad should happen. Before it was flooding the
.xsession-errors file for people which was causing issues.
Updating GTK bug as GNOME Bug Tracker #590690 is the one related to the
Firefox issues which seems to be the focus of this bug.

I apologize, I had not read all the upstream comments. It does seem to
be a more serious issue, but we're waiting on upstream now. After
upstream fixes it, we might be able to patch the current versions of the
involved apps.
