Lightbreeze: Try dragging to a spatial Nautilus window filled with
subfolders in List View, instead of a File Browser window. I think
you'll find you can't, not even in Jaunty.

Jan, as I tried to point out in comment 26, if Nautilus is *not* in file
browser mode, the "option 1" you reference is not available. See
attached screenshot. Given the window in that screenshot, I can *only*
drag a file to a subfolder of 'mp3', but not to 'mp3' itself. :(

Drag 'n Drop in list view
After installing the nautilus packages from karmic-proposed, I had to do
a 'rm .nautilus/metafiles/migrated-to-gvfs' and restart Nautilus before
my old emblem assignments reappeared. All is well now.

I have this problem too (fully up-to-date Lucid 10.04), although it
doesn't matter whether the TIFF file has an absolute or a relative path
in the SVG.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a TIFF: $ import test.tiff
2. Open Inkscape, drag the new test.tiff in.
3. Save as SVG.
4. Browse to the containing
