Tested on Karmic Koala Alpha 3 64bit, same problem.
On Jaunty Jackalope Ubuntu 9.04 32bit and Kubuntu 32bit, too.

Brightness didn't change, just the notification appeared as usual.

I got a pdf-file in which a diagramm is displayed wrong. Attached you'll find a
screenshot and the pdf-file. Possibly a problem with an overlay? gv shows the
pdf correctly.
