I never got an error - Brasero just hung. K3B has the same problem.
Wound up running brasero as root because I was in a rush - which worked
as a one-time fix.
Can confirm that posted workaround works on 18.04.3 LTS as well

I have two sound cards in my machine (onboard and a real sound card),
and gnome-sound-properties correctly shows
It's stopping when you press previous, because there is no previous
track. The previous button shouldn't be enabled and let this happen, so
I've re-opened gnome bug 335490.

Are the DAAP servers running on the same machine as Rhythmbox? Rhythmbox
doesn't display local DAAP shares.
Making it show local shares which are from a different user on the same

After moving those files away, chaging sounds cards works fine. Below is the

This is caused by a known gstreamer bug,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340492. The "flacdec" element
doesn't support push-based operation, and the "gnomevfssrc" element
doesn't support pull-based operation, so it doesn't work.

Rhythmbox has to scan all files, because until it scans them it doesn't
know whether they contain audio and/or video. Mimetypes aren't enough,
because many types like application/ogg and video/quicktime are just
containers, and so may contain audio (Vorbis, AAC) or video (Theora, QT
video).

related packages. Removing the ~/.asound* files doesn't appear to help.

it using the Firefox 2.0 RSS handler, which displays a page with options
