Unplugging or plugging in my laptop (System76 Lemur Ultra [limu4])
causes the screen backlight to jump to very bright. Setting org.gnome
.settings-daemon.plugins.power to false in dconf-editor works around the
problem, but nothing in the power plugin's source code jumps out a
