** Description changed:

Unplugging or plugging in my laptop (System76 Lemur Ultra [limu4])
causes the screen backlight to jump to very bright. Setting org.gnome
.settings-daemon.plugins.power to false in dconf-editor works around the
problem, but nothing in the power plugin's source code jumps out at me.
(Though I was looking at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/saucy/+source
  /gnome-settings-daemon/3.8.5-0ubuntu11.1/+files/gnome-settings-
daemon_3.8.5.orig.tar.xz, which I'm not sure is the correct archive.)
+
+ The problem began for me after upgrading to Saucy. If someone can tell
+ me how to install from source over the distributed build, I can do a bzr
+ bisect.
