+1 for fixing this: the cursor is also unresponsive for these initial
few seconds after the password dialog appears. Not a show-stopper, but a
certainly a paper cut :) I only started seeing this after upgrading to
Karmic.

I can verify this. When Rhythmbox is closed, if I try to hibernate or

I keep seeing this problem --- it regularly (> 50% of the time?) stops

I am seeing the same problem now with Ubuntu Intrepid beta (as apt-
updated yesterday). Hibernate and suspend definitely work fine, but
sometimes when I press the power button or menu to System > Shut
down..., the log-out menu takes a long time to appear (or doesn't appear
at all) and when/if it do
Another +1 to an SRU.
BTW, this is also fixable by installing compizconfig-settings-manager
and setting the "Prev window" key binding in the "Static Application
Switcher" plugin config (it's disabled by default). I don't know if that
configurator is tweaking the Metacity gconf db behind the scenes
I just saw this downgraded to "Low Importance"... seriously? It's a bug
that means laptops running Ubuntu will refuse to syspend or hibernate

Thanks Sebastien! I must not read the original description properly and
thought that "power manager plugin" was referring to the Gnome power

until you mentioned it, and certainly have no idea how it got enabled...

Is this a different kind of drop-down list widget from usual? Most GTK
drop-down menus support the "jump to character" behaviour... otherwise
we wouldn't expect it. Is it possible to work-around by using the
"normal" widget in this panel?

I'm also seeing this problem (the "object reference" warning for every
photo), even after installing the 4.3.1 Folder export plugin. I also
can't uninstall the 4.3.0 version, although I can disable it - I don't
know if that would be a problem.

Apparently it *should* work, but is pretty fragile against unordered
syncs... fragile enough that it's never been usable for me (and requires
that you *know* it's okay to overwrite the existing note). I'm going to
test if it works when aggr
Also confirmed in post alpha 6 Intrepid. Very frustrating when you're
used to getting the shutdown options!
