I keep seeing this problem --- it regularly (> 50% of the time?) stops me from being able to suspend. Even more annoying, the log-out menu sometimes pops up several minutes after requesting it: by this time if I've decided to leave it unsuspended and left the room, the 60 sec timeout will turn the machine off!
Incidentally, I've found that killing gnome-power-manager and manually restarting it from the command line tends to solve the problem: not ideal but at least it makes it possible to suspend when it's really needed. -- hibernate, suspend occasionally missing from shutdown menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
