Ok now i can reproduce it, but I'm not sure if it's a unity bug. There
is a freeze problem with unity dnd and web browser that looks like this,
but i'm quite sure this is not the same.

If he had anything to do with the launcher reveal, the freeze would be
temporary. If it was a unity crash, killing gedit would not solve the
freeze.

We unity 4.18+ the launcher is shown on the monitor to the left. This

There is already an option to set the primary monitor in 'Displays' panel in
System Settings. End a few weeks ago, the launcher was displayed on the primary
monitor, but right now it's shown in the left monitor.
Just restore the old behavior.

Right know i can't make a screencast because I have no longer a multi
head... Btw using Gnome 3 you can set the primary monitor in 'Display'
panel dragging and dropping the black panel.

Should not be so difficult patching the display settings panel to draw a
vertical bar in place for the horizontal one if unity is running.
