what is listed in the "OnlyShowIn" field in the .desktop, gnome-control-

This is the valgrind log of gvfsd from my maverick workstation with the
bug in full effect. Leaking 1.5GB took about 30 minutes. Here's the

I was watching the session bus with dbus-monitor and i noticed that
every URL i've clicked on in pidgin at least since the last reboot shows
up as a dbus object under gvfs, and g-s-m constantly polls this stuff.
That probably explains why the problem is so much worse on my
workstation, i've clicked
Some more investigation... valgrind points to "listMounts" dbus call as
the culprit of the leaks. This is the same call that is full of old
pidgin URLs and other cruft. I wrote a python script to call it and
gvfsd leaks 200kb every time. But the real killer.

Is this bug about the default sensitivity, or about the launcher not
revealing at all no matter how hard you push? Seems like these are two
different problems. (the former being opinion, the latter being a
serious bug.)
I have the sensitivity set very high so that the launcher reveals very
easily.
I tried resetting everything to defaults and it is still almost
impossible to reveal the launcher on my primary screen. When the
launcher does reveal it seems to be following the settings, and the
launcher on second monitor always follows the settings. In 5.2 both

low I can unhide the launcher by VERY gently stroking the pointer

Removing the empathy package (and releated like empathy-common etc) does
not remove the icon: "Applications -> Internet -> Empathy IM Client"
This could be because I upgraded rather than doing a fresh install,
although I am pretty sure I didn't h
I had a customized version of empathy.desktop in ~/.local. No idea where
it came from but it probably isn't anything to do with packages. Cannot
reproduce.

- Wine still creates shortcuts under a folder heirarchy
- Alacarte still copies them to the flat filenames upon editing
- Gnome-menu still gives priority to the original files, not the edited version
