Public bug reported:

When playing tracks, at the end of one track and the beginning of the
next, rhythmbox gets stuck. It does not crash or freeze, it just stops
playing audio. Skipping to another track or seeking within the current
track clears the error. Wait for several minutes, rhythmbox will play
about half a second of the current track before going to the next one.

This happens roughly every third track.

Crossfading is disabled.
