Yes we know there's a bug in gdm3 that makes the fix unreliable on some systems. We never figured it out, but that doesn't matter so much because accidentally defaulting to Xorg is probably a better experience for Nvidia hybrid systems, in hindsight. Wayland still has poor performance if you plug a
