The extension should not slowdown anymore when loading such icons, as
that's now handled by the shell itself, so while an icon could be
missing we don't do much IO from extension level.

Nathan, when using `sssd-gdm-smartcard-pam-auth-tester.sh` it does all
the checks that were failing before of this fix.
It doens't use the gdm UI directly, because there's no need for it, but
it indeed uses the gdm-smartcard PAM configuration that was the buggy

Aaron asked me to test his version via PPA
As noted in the original bug report; this bug was annoying... as was
hitting me often enough I stopped using Lubuntu & used Xfce & GNOME
instead while, before returning to LXQt though I replaced `openbox` as
WM with `xfwm4` (to avoid issues).

(One extra bit of info that I realized was left out - according to the
comment on the Arch Linux forums here:
