my Ubuntu just freezes and when it happens my pendrive LED blinks like

The 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' setting defaults to ON.
Toggling 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' to OFF causes the wifi device to
be soft blocked.

with the app grid using gnome-shell 3.30.1-2ubuntu1. So I do not think

Oopsie, indeed the crash on lid close is gone after disabling extensions. Even
the very act of turning off the overall extension switch in Tweaks crashes the
