Running 'sudo rfkill unblock wifi' alone is NOT a workaround. After toggling 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' to OFF, gnome-control- center wifi reports "No Wi-Fi Adapter Found".
The only 'workaround' is to leave 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' set to ON, and to run 'sudo rfkill unblock wifi' on each reboot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1805025 Title: gnome-control-center power - 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' soft blocks wifi device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1805025/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
