1. Open Sy
Same on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit on an Intel laptop. Reinstalling ibus-gtk
did not help and changing keyboard input method from Ibus to none in
Language Support did not help either.
Ibus daemon goes to 100% when this happens.
Does this have a link with the sudden loss of keyboard response I
sometimes
there is some news about this feature? It will be a precious enhancement
for Nautilus users...

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04. Plugging in the usb headset
makes it show up in the configuration tab of pavucontrol, but not in the
output tab.
$ killall pulseaudio
fixes it for me.
