Same on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit on an Intel laptop. Reinstalling ibus-gtk did not help and changing keyboard input method from Ibus to none in Language Support did not help either.
Ibus daemon goes to 100% when this happens. Does this have a link with the sudden loss of keyboard response I sometimes have in Nautilus/Files? This is a bug where suddenly changing file or folder names doesn't work anymore because the keyboard input is not recognized.
