I don't think this bug is unique for Ubuntu. I got the exact same error
with Gnome 3.2 on my Arch Linux. Can't find any fix, tempfix on gconf or
anything else. Really annoying. Only occurs with AC-power.

Oh, problems with the event history buffer can originate pretty much
anywhere below GIMP, so wacom driver to X to GTK can be the cause... And

m-marti, is your mouse for some reason enabled as an extended device? If
yes, disable it. You wont lose anything as mouse does not provide any
extra info for extended devices.
As far as I am aware from my testing with mmiicc, it only affects
extended devices and a specific event deliver mechanism

I presume you meant 'aa-complain' and yes, that fixed it. I had thought
that the problem might be AppArmour related, but did not think to check
/var/log/syslog, which clearly showed that AA was the problem. Below
you can see both the before (DENIED) and the after (ALLOW) -- after I

As with the banshee bug (which I just uploaded a fix for), this needs
changes in the applications, not gnome-control-center. We have stopped
using some of the keys, so their values are not changed in GSettings and
hence not propagated to GConf. Those apps should really check the host
for socks, and
